SMS visa application tracking service - all visa application centres

SMS news updates will be sent to you informing you of the status of your visa application. Once purchased you will receive several automated feedback messages (available in either English or Russian) to your mobile phone informing you of the processing stage your visa application is at. At the end of the process you will receive an automated email message (in English only) to your registered email address, informing you that the UK Border Agency has made a decision on your visa application.
You can buy this service for 85 Roubles (Inclusive of VAT) while you submit your visa application form, supporting documents and biometric information at the visa application centre. The SMS application form can be downloaded and completed before you visit the visa application centre.

You should book an appointment online using the online visa application system if you decide to choose this service. Please select Moscow (VIP Lounge) from the drop down option when you are asked to select the visa appointment centre. Appointments are available every working day between 9:00 and 16:00.
Important: This service does not imply or guarantee in any way that applicants using the premium service will have a faster turnaround time or be successful in their visa application. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK immigration rules.

Premium service in St. Petersburg

If you use this service, you should receive a decision on your visa application and have your passport returned to you 2 days after you make your visa application and submit your biometric data at the visa application centre. For example, if you make your application on Monday (subject to the conditions below), your passport and the decision on your visa application will be returned on Wednesday of the same week.

You must apply or submit your application at the visa application centre on any working day between 08:00 to 11:00. It is not mandatory to book an appointment for the particular day you wish to come and apply for a visa using the Premium Service. Please, inform the security guard at the entrance of the visa application centre that you wish to apply under the Premium Service scheme. |

You can expect the decision on your visa application on the second day during 19:00 - 21:00. Please note that for some zip codes around the outskirts of St Petersburg, the delivery is on day 3 before noon. |
|
You can use this service if you are applying for 6 months visit visa categories such as Business, Sports, Child/Family, General, Student visit. |

The service charges are: Roubles 10575, plus the visa application fee. |
Please note: There is no guarantee that you will be issued a visa if you use this premium service. All applications are considered on their individual merits, falling within the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. While staff at the UK Border Agency in Moscow will try hard to meet these timescales, there can sometimes be unavoidable delays in processing visa applications. Applicants should note that there are possibilities of delays in deliveries during the winter period due to delay/ cancellation of cargo flights used by the courier company. We cannot guarantee that the target delivery times will be met. Applicants can still use the service but they do so at their own risk and without any guarantee that they will receive their passport within the time span this service is linked to. Submission without a passport- all visa application centres
|

Applicants can only use this service if applying for long term visa categories. This includes General/Family/Business visit applications of 2 years or more and applications under Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the points-based system, settlement applications, sole representative. In addition to this service, the following short term categories can apply: sports visitors, Olympic/Paralympics games and Tier 5 of the points based system. These short term categories may be subject to review.

Procedure:

Apply at the visa application centre, give your biometrics and collect your passport before you leave the visa application centre. |
|
Provide a photocopy of the entire passport (including blank pages) with your visa application. |
|
The visa application centre will send your visa application to the UK Border Agency at the British Embassy in Moscow for processing. Once your documents have been processed, you will get an automated email to confirm the same. You should then contact the visa application centre to arrange submission of your passport within 21 days. If you fail to return your passport within this timescale, your application will be subject to further mandatory checks and could take up to another 30 working days to process. It takes 2-5 working days for onward submission of passport to the UK Border Agency at the British Embassy in Moscow. It will then take a further 5 working days for your passport to be returned to you. |
